The new Nseries model N86 was just launched recently and a new firmware is already out for download.

The update is available via Nokia Software Updater(NSU) and also Over The Air (OTA).

The new update version is v11.043.  One of the most obvious change it that the Download! application is now replaced by OVI Store. The firmware also includes improved landscape orientation functionality in Nokia Maps and improved imaging in video mode.

Other improvements include Browser, Share Online, Camera, and Settings Wizard enhancements. Find our how to update the firmware step by step here. If you prefer to install the update over the air, then here’s the step by step guide.

DailyMobile has already tested the device and posted up some photos take by the N86 camera. Click on the images to view the original size image.

Did Nokia purposely leak this or accidentally?

Found in the Mobile World Congress presskit is a backgrounder on Nokia’s alliance with Carl Zeiss, the optics maker for all the Nseries cameras. A very clear image of the Nokia N86 is found in this PDF File, the successor of the N85, now comes with 8mpx camera! (from SymbianGuru)

Apparently, the N86 has been exhibited in Singapore recently and the photos have been posted in OVI.

Thanks user ‘Gamerz‘ for posting them.

Dissappointingly, Nokia did not include Xenon flash into this 8mpx device.. instead it receives the camera stand from N96… I wonder why Nokia thinks that the stand is more important than the Xenon flash.. hmm.

UPDATE! Nseries Innovation Newsdesk has posted a teaser with a low light photo believed to be taken using the Nokia N86, 8megapixel camera.

Are you excited?
